Red Riding Hood was written for The Stage Club, Singapore’s oldest theatre company for performances at The British Club, The Tanglin Club and the Swiss Club in 2013.
Directed by Bob Scheer, it featured expats and locals playing Red, Grandma, a Big Bad Wolf, a grumpy bear, a brave woodcutter, Red’s friends Hansel and Gretel, a forest fairy who was allergic to her own forest, a dwarf who had been enlarged thanks to the spell of a greedy witch, and a very scared little pig called Virginia Ham.

All sound effects for the show are produced onstage with a Foley desk. (Script and set design and painting by Jane Cafarella.) This show is a lot of fun and can be adapted to any location.
